Behind The Underground Club

The fictitious hub that makes up the central backdrop of my portfolio of work, The Underground Club is a long-running passion project, dedicated to immortalising and showcasing the magnificent work of truly talented artists. I hope to one day use the guidance and teachings of my idols to entertain and inspire a new generation to engage, build/explore communities, freely express themselves and highlight their talents.

Based on The Underground from Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol, The Underground Club is a place to celebrate art, pop/culture, and fantastic displays of self-expression. Whether you are a fan of movies, tv, literature, sport, video games or music, we hope we can provide you with an outlet for you to explore your interests.

Outside of this primary goal, The Underground Club and The Perpetual Cabaret Players have become a haven for me in recent years. Producing art here on/for this blog, whether through drawings, lip-syncs, photography, filmmaking, or writing, I have been able to positively explore - and find some semblance of - identity, acceptance, compassion, and love that I had been struggling with. An outlet for pain and joy, no matter how bleak it looks outside, inside there is always a drink and a song when one is wanted. Or needed.

If you want it, I share this world with you. I share the love and happiness it can bring. The compassion. And above all the freedom to be in a place that welcomes you for you. The only limit is your imagination. Let it run wild and free.

So, to everyone who has visited and is reading this. Thank you. And in the immortal words of Bram Stoker, "Once again ...welcome to my house. Come freely. Go safely and leave something of the happiness you bring."
